C-section help. is this normal?

I ended up having an emergency c section and i honestly did not research it much at all because i was so convinced i would be delivering vaginally. 
Anyways, i have a few questions for anyone who’s been through this before/going through it now! I’m currently 3 days PP 
1. My incision is bruising and burning pretty bad and it has places where it has been bleeding (not a lot, just pooling blood around the stitch) 
2. My feet and legs are swollen to 3 times their normal size right now. Extremely swollen and i try to elevate them and drink fluids all day! They seem to go down a little after elevating them for 2-3 hours but i can’t lay down all day with a newborn! 
3. I’m still taking my pain meds every 4 hours on the dot or i can feel that searing burning pain coming back around the incision. 
4. GAS PAINS are the WORST I’ve ever felt in my life!!! I am unable to pass gas or have a bowel movement! I’m taking gas x and walking, drinking water, etc. 
Are these all normal symptoms?? I just want reassurance that I’m healing normally. 
Also, Will my stomach become flat again eventually or will it have a “pooch” leftover most people call it

If you literally have not passed gas or had a bowel movement (especially the gas) in 3 days post surgery you need to call your dr. They actually wouldn't release me from the hospital until I was able to at least pass gas. It can be a sign of a serious complication. If you mean "I can't" as in its difficult sometimes, fine, but if you literally can't ever then you need to call your dr on call or go to the hospital.

The incision bleeding is not right it should be healing you may want to go back to the doctor as it may be infected. Swelling is normal but if you feel as if it’s just simply not going away go to the doctor, my swelling was not going away 2 months ago when I had a c-section and I went to the doctor because I felt it wasn’t normal I was admitted back into the hospital because the water went up into my stomach and caused my blood pressure to rise dangerously into seizure territory. I was put on a liquid diuretic and blood pressure meds to bring everything back down. As for pain meds you should still be taking them after 3 days but not after a week after that if your still in pain take over the counter pain meds. As for gas pain and not being able to pass stools the doctor should have giving you an iron supplement and a stool softener if not you can get them over the counter as well. I took the iron pills once a day and stool softener 3 times a day. Don’t worry everything will get better with time but if your really worried go back to the doctor don’t wait till it’s too late to do something.

everything sounds totally normal/expected except for the incision issue, please watch that.  your ob should look ar your incision at your 2 week checkup

I just had an emergency c 7 weeks ago and didn't do my research either. most of what you're going through sounds like what I went through (the pain and the swelling really caught me off guard I was swollen really baby for almost 3 weeks) I would say keep an eye on your incision and definitely take some stool softener. I didn't poop for about 5 days but I passed gas pretty immediately. ( I couldn't, control it. it just kind of happened) but that would be  my only real concern. good luck.

The feet swelling is normal and should do away with time. Monitor the gas pain because you should be able to pass it and go to the bathroom. If you can’t that may signify a problem. The symptom you have that I’m most concerned with though is the incision. I’ve had three csections and afterwards I didn’t take the pain medicine because I hate it and I did not have any burning on the incision, with my third I ended up getting an infection on the external incision about a month pp it hurt but did not burn. Blood pooling on the incision is also not the norm. I’m sure your doctor will want to see you in a week for an incision check but definitely keep an eye on that and keep it dry and clean.

You should def call your Dr about the swelling and the passing gas issues. I also wasn’t released until I passed gas. 5 days post op (I was home) I had some swelling and called my Dr. they asked me to come in immediately and my blood pressure was through the roof. I had Post Eclampsia and had to be readmitted to the hospital for 4 days.
Bruising, burning and still taking paid meds is normal.

The swelling is very normal. It took mine 10 days or so to finally go away. As far as going to the bathroom, try taking Colace (they had me start it in the hospital right after the csection) and drink tons of water. I didn't have a ton of pain so you may want to ask your dr about that. Hope you start feeling better soon!

I would say no, my scar hardly bled after a day or two and barely stung if at all with pain medication. My legs stopped swelling a few days after surgery as well. Idk, sounds like you're struggling and I'd make an appointment to see the doctor.

It sounds normal overall. If you haven’t passed gas at all and it’s difficult then I’d talk to the dr because they should have been giving you stool softeners along with your meds. As for the swelling the only thing that helped me were compression socks. I had to wear them for most of the day to help with swelling. The pain for me lasted about 2 weeks and then started to subside. I also had a stitch pop so just make sure you’re taking is easy while taking care of the baby

1 Sounds like it could be normal but definitely keep an eye on it.
2. Totally normal, especially with an emergency c-section (they typically are pumping you full of extra fluids). I felt like a stuffed sausage and my feet cracked they were so painfully swollen. My doctor said it could take up to 3 weeks to go away, I was back to normal in about a week.
3. Pain is experienced by everyone differently but post-op c-section pain is no joke. I only had to take 800mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours but I think I had an unusually good recovery.
4. Everyone I know who had a c-section told me that gas pains were the worst part for them. Again, I think I had an unusually good recovery so has pain wasn't really a problem for me. I was on stool softeners and up walking kind of a lot (had to walk to visit my baby in the nursery) the same day of my surgery so my first poop happened only  36ish hours after surgery.
