Anxiety

Samantha

Has anyone ever gotten over their anxiety? It overwhelms me everyday and I’ve had It for like 6 years. I tried therapy and a bunch of medications and nothing has helped. Please any tips or comfort would be nice. I need hope

I haven’t overcome mine but it’s for sure not as bad and I do a lot of things now that I wouldn’t have before. Expose yourself to things that make you anxious. Mine was mainly socially, I started going clubbing and would run errands and shop by myself. Now it’s not so scary. Also helps to learn about it and be open to growth. The more you learn the more intelligent you become and then the less you worry about what other people think.

I've overcome mine in a big way. I watch two ppl die not long ago and it made me have panic attacks all day. I'm on meds now and just from working with a really good friend it's gotten so much better. It takes a lot trial and error. You will find what works for you

I wouldn’t say i’ve gotten over it per se, but I definitely know how to manage it. When I work out more, I feel so much better, fall asleep earlier and feel less anxious. I work out 3 times a week. When I run, I imagine myself stomping on everything that stresses me out.

yes. I've had social anxiety and general anxiety for about 9-10 years. I overcame mine by doing self-administered exposure therapy as well as learning more about psychology to better understand anxiety and how to cope with it, cope with stress, etc. It's a hard thing to overcome but it's very possible. You just have to work hard everyday and literally face your fears.

Yeah I’ve gotten a lot better in some areas. I used to have really bad social anxiety and would have panic attacks over even having to hand off some files to coworkers. I tried everything to help with it too - mess, therapy, weed. But none of those things were solutions, just temporary fixes. What I found most helpful was meditation and practicing mindfulness (I honestly think it served me like some type of cognitive therapy) and realizing that change had to come from within me & how I viewed myself. There’s an app I used to use a lot called Buddhify that might help you - they’re guided meditations.
