Any tips for tampons?

I'm starting up volleyball again and I always swim so I'm really trying to get the hang of tampons. I've only tried a few times because I've only had a few cycles. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly I just don't recommend them. If you're open to it try a cup. Tampons you just have to fiddle with them though. Eventually you find what works for your parts. Someone else recommended precious star pads, I recommend the same YouTube.

You should research what is in tampons before every using them. They are so terrible for your body because they are full of chemicals. I always can recommend a menstraul cup. Check out Precious Stars Pads on YouTube

Point it towards your lower back, your vagina isn't straight up & down. If you can feel it when you take the applicator out, it's not in all the way. You can use your finger to push it in a little farther.

Yes, I agree with Kat. Tampons are not good for you. They are heavily link to TSS, heir absorbency rate sucks and they are infamous for drying a woman out because they absorb all of the good bacteria and natural lubrication that occurs in the body. All that can lead to complications. Try a cup. I love menstrual cups.

As a swimmer and former volleyball player I stuck to platex pearl. Easy to use, super comfortable, and they never once leaked on me!

I had a terrible time trying to figure out how to use tampons. I would get so frustrated I would cry. Make sure not to insert it straight up, it cause great discomfort. I didn't get the hang of tampons until I was 17 lol
