Vegan and post period Depression.

Has anyone here ever suffered from depression? I want to try to change my diet to see if becoming vegan can help reduce mood swings? I have read how it can help but I don’t really know any Vegans.

If you have had issues in the past with depression and mood swings prior to becoming vegan please let me know the benefits: mentally? I would rather go the non pharmaceutical route and try to find a more holistic approach.
