When are you sharing the good news?

I'm 6 weeks preg and don't know if I can keep quiet until 12 weeks!! I really want to tell my sister. I can wait to tell everyone else but I really want to tell her!!! When is everyone telling close family??

It’s up to you. We told all of our close friends and family before 6 weeks. If something were to go wrong, I want their support and help. I don’t want to go through my pregnancies alone no matter the outcome.

I told my sister because we are really close (only 14 months apart!), she has four kids, and this is my first. I wanted her advice and knowledge! I am 5w2d and will wait until 10-12 weeks to tell the rest of my family.

I will be telling right after my first ultrasound. I'll be almost 7 weeks. I have no problem telling people early, I know anything can happen. I have no living children but have had 2 losses. One was at 23 weeks. If something were to happen to this baby too I need the support and comfort from my friends and family. Also I want this baby to also be loved and celebrated as early as possible

Told my mom and dad the day I found out. 😄 Then I slipped and told my sister at 6 weeks.
My first appointment is May 2nd at almost 9 weeks. Once we hear the heartbeat, I plan on sharing to Facebook. I've been careful and waited until 12 weeks with my previous two pregnancies but if I have a miscarriage, I want my village to lean on.

We are telling close family at about 8 weeks and a few friends already know. Why not celebrate and tell? Even if it ends in miscarriage, at least you will have a village to lean on!

I think it depends on your person stance. Pretty much all of our close family knows, but that’s because I see them like every other day and my bloat is very noticeable!

I got my bfp today at 12 dpo (and 2 vfls over the last several days) and we have already told our closest friends. we'll tell our close family after our Drs visit.
the standard we are using is, if we end up with a chemical pregnancy or a MC, who are we going to want to tell? who will we want supporting us? because I'm those cases, I don't want to have a conversation that goes "so we got a positive pregnancy test-" "CONGRATULATIONS" "well thanks but..." 
I want them to already know, so that i don't have to walk through the whole painful rollercoaster with them.
bottom line is, you do you! but I think that's a really good parameter to use.

I told my mom the day we found out. After having a chemical pregnancy back in September that no one knew about I wanted to have her for support in case something happens. I told my sister a few days later when I was 5 weeks.

I told my mom and sisters at 4 weeks and 2 days and the boyfriend told his family at 5 weeks and 2 days. I’m going to announce to everyone else on Mother’s Day which will make me 8 weeks and 3 days.
