hey all, i am about to be 25 in a couple of weeks, and i am considering having my tubes tied. i had my first kid at 19 and my second at 23. i will be 41 by the time my youngest turns 18 and the more that i think about it, the more i dont want to be raising kids beyond my 40s. i currently have the paragard iud and i hate it. ive had some problems with other bc options as well, and i would love to just be done with birth control all together. i truly believe that i am done having kids, two is plenty for me and i can not think of a situation where i would more. so i am considering asking my obgyn about having my tubes tied and was wondering if anyone had any advice, thoughts, or input in this. im not worried about surgery as i have been put under 3 times before and i have had a laproscopic surgery in the past and i didnt think it was that bad. open to hear all sides.
