Anyone here know about Ex-Parte orders?

I recieved one from my baby's father. He just send me a pic of it, signed by a judge to fbook messenger. I am currently outside the country, do I need to comply to this or since I'm overseas and this wasnt given directly to me from a judge..can I just overlook it? Thanks!

All he has to do is make a diligent attempt to notify you, which he has done.  It is still legal without being formally served.

my brother has had 2 of them and his ex just had to notify him of it. it didnt have to be served to him. his hearings were the very next day so i would definitely call the court house and explain your not in the country right now so you dont get in trouble for not showing up.

Nope, you can’t just ignore it.  Is your child with the dad?

In most all states...  they are enforceable even if you haven't been served as long as a judge has signed it.  You'll have a court date and can rebuttal the accuracy of the grounds on which it was granted.  If you are military deployed.... go see JAG.

I would ask a lawyer. If you call one in your country and one in his and ask you'll get the most info. I'm thinking it's not valid if you're not in his country because the judge didn't send it to you himself but double check for sure!
