So my MIL came to our house today with paperwork for me to sign. My husband owns a business (family business) with his father. MIL informed me my husband decided to make a rather large purchase (tens of thousands) with money we do not have. To give you some background, my husband puts everything he makes back into this business. He literally gave me less than $10,000 last year to go towards household expenses (groceries, insurance, medical bills, house payment, etc). We’ve had similar blow ups over this and nearly ended our marriage a couple years ago bc he continued doing whatever his parents told him to do since it’s initially their business and not discussing it with me first. My biggest issue is the behind my back and flat out lying. The last time we had a fight I told him if it ever happens again I’m done. My question is, am I overreacting? I know I can’t keep living like this, nor do I want our kids thinking this is the way to treat your spouse. Other than this, he’s a great husband and father. But I just feel like this is unforgivable and keeps happening time and time again. I love him so much and don’t want to get divorced but I also don’t want to work my ass off for us to survive while he pisses everything away into this business 😫
