I Hate My Birth Control!

I have Nexplanon and for the past three years the minimum length of my period is 17 days, a lot of times my period is heavy with bad cramps and rarely get light periods (they're almost nonexistent to me). Anyway I get my birth control out in May and I really want to switch to the IUD because if take birth control pills with ALL of my OTHER medications I have a feeling I would forget to take the birth control.

But my final thing I want to ask/say, I told my mom about the situation and I asked her about the IUD because she used to use it, but she said I cant have it unless if I have a baby is that true? (Now please do not take offense to what I am about to say and please don't say that I will want a child later in life... PLEASE.) I do not like children, I have an irrational fear of pregnancy, motherhood, and babies in general. I really want this birth control
