Do you wear a head covering to church or to pray?

Question

I have considered wearing a head cover to church since I have short hair and I was just wondering if you ladies ever wear scarves or veils to church or in private prayer? I am only curious so please no arguments or judgements on those who chose differently than you.  thank you ladies so much!!!

My MIL wears a covering all the time. I have gone back and forth on it, but I agree that God looks more to the heart. A covering is a symbol for submission so I think for me, l need to concentrate more on the inner submission than the outward symbol of it. If you feel convicted, there’s nothing wrong with you wearing a covering.

1 Corinthians 11:5 "Every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head."  Saint Paul speaks plainly about the importance of a woman's headcovering. It is also a symbol of a woman's authority; a woman's glory comes from her obedience to Christ for our nature was redeemed by the Most Holy Ever- Virgin Mary, the new Eve, the new Ark of the Covenant. She covered her head, should we not follow her example, as women? It is a symbol of submission to God. I wear a headcovering to church, to monasteries, and when I pray at home, out of obedience and respect. (I am an Orthodox Christian, but Pre-Vatican II Catholics do still wear veils to church and also it is required in Latin Rite Catholic churches)

only thing that's covering my head is my hair... think God knows enough strands on my head to not care.... I think God looks at the heart rather than the head. in biblical times it may have been of reverence of God to do so as woman in those times. God loves the gentiles 😉

In the Caribbean, head covering was taught & required in the Churches. Many of the older folks in my Church still do while some do it sometimes.  As for me, I never liked it personally but am still a respecter of those who do along with the Churches that I’ve been associated with who did then & do now and will if that’s the Churches rules before entering their building. 
Folks have to understand that what was required in the Old Testament is very similar to the New Testament but you need to read other versions of KJV to get a better grasp of what God is talking about. We as gentiles are under Grace and not Law. Your actual hair is your covering but on certain occasions like an ordination for example, where some of candidates are women, they will cover their heads with an actual hat out of respect for the service itself & what the Bible talks about a woman covering her head in the OT.

I was raised in a cult where we had to wear a scarf on our heads all the time. Thank God my parents were able to pull us out of it. No head coverings for me any more!
