Possible miscarriage

So this is the second time something like this has happened to me. I have taken the shot for around 2 years now and usually wear a condom, but I started cramping extremely bad a couple days ago and started my period. I started shedding tissue of different sizes and clotting bad today. Is this a miscarriage or not?
