Police /LEO wives??

Question

Are there any police or LEO wives???? My husband is a corrections officer at the jail here and is currently in the process of getting hired on at the local PD. I’m happy for him and I’m always going to be supportive but how do I deal with the fear of losing him?? Especially with all the hate on police lately!! 🖤💙🖤

Honestly you never get over the fear of receiving that phone call that something happened. for me I changed how I am with him I never let him leave the house with out a kiss and an I love you!! Just appreciate them 🖤

Don’t dwell on the bad things that can happen. My husband works the morning watch (10pm - 8am) so the hardest thing for us is that we don’t get to see each other a lot during the week. Most of the calls he deals with are domestic and those who work during the day deal with a lot of car accidents. He has worked a few homicides most of them accidents, but overall he comes home happy with funny stories to tell or stories about how they found a missing kid. Just remind him take due diligence, never go into a scene assuming he knows what is going on. I was really worried when my husband first decided to apply, but his academy prepared them for the worst possible situations they could be placed in. Hubby overall enjoys his job. He’s bilingual and is only planning to be on the road for another year before applying for detective.
