So In January I decided to take the depo shot after a couple months of being off BC (was taking Levora before for 3 mo.)..when I decided to take the Depot shot I thought it was a good idea bc I wouldn’t have to worry about a pill and it was one and done until I get the next one 3 months later. Well see, after I took the shot I noticed a huge change in my attitude. I was angry all the time. Super impatient. Always hungry..which with any BC it’s normal to expect side effects but I didn’t think they were going to be that bad. I felt like I was experiencing the hormonal part of when you are in your period. And it really fuckkng sucked. It made me feel crazy and it made me actually so angry that my family made me go to anger management classes as a condition for living with them. I decided not to get the 2nd shot and after my first real period after 3 months I felt sooo much relief. While on the shot I felt like something was gnawing at the back of my ear (or however you phrase that) and it was bearable but just created a lot of stress for me. ..so if you’re on this shot and you feel like you’re crazy or people make you feel like you’re crazy..you’re not.. it’s the fucking shot! Btw these side effects might not be for everyone. Just talking from my experience...also I gained like 5 pounds. 😒 thx Depo Provera 👎🏾
