Period on the patch

So I recently just started the patch and i was wondering if it was possible to not receive your period at all while on it? I'm like 4 days late but me and my boyfriend have also did unprotected sex and he has ejaculated inside me since I've been on the patch... so could I be pregnant and the patch isn't really working or is it pretty common for periods to be late or not get them at all?
