Have You and Your Man Done The 5 Love Languages?

I want to do this with my man before we get married.  I would love to know your results!  Did it help with communication? Did it help you discover anything new?

We did the quiz online and it confirmed we are soulmates lol. My love language was acts of service and he’s so great at that, his were words of affirmation which I’m great at

We didn't read the book but took the online test. We weren't having communication issues but it certainly didn't hurt. Especially since we found out we have different languages so it definitely brought us even closer.

tried to go through the book. It's not something a guy is into really. I think just knowing them you should know what they prefer.  gift vs your time etc  and you can just ask them... I don't think it's necessary.

We didn't read the book, but we did the online quiz. We got different results. Mine was words of affirmation and his was quality time. I don't think it really effected us much, but it makes it easier for me to calm my anxiety when he's not giving me "words of affirmation." it's not because he loves me less, it's because he doesn't value words as much as he does quality time. It helps me calm my nerves and realize he does love me, he just shows it in different ways.

We got that book as a gift from my MIL before we got married! We read it together and it really did make a huge difference in our relationship. We never really had any problems beforehand but it helped us show love in a way that is the most effective to each other, if that makes sense? It's made us stronger as a couple.
