Why are the courts so slow?!

We're impatiently waiting for a home inspection to be done, and for a court date so that my husband can adopt my son.

Its getting to be fucking ridiculous though!! My ex was served on March 9th, we were assigned our GAL 3 weeks ago and havent heard anything else!!!

Ive bugged the hell out of my lawyer but he keeps telling me to be patient. Because theres nothing we can do until the GAL contacts us.
