Calling all hairdressers from the UK Please read💇💇💇

I’m currently at a Hair and Beauty Academy (I live in the UK) and I am studying a level 1 course in Hairdressing and Barbering. I started the course in November 2017 and I finish the course in August 2018. So far of being there I have learnt how to blowdry to create movement, shampooing and conditioning hair, I can remove colour and help assist with colour and I can prepare and maintain my work place. During the course my tutor has told me I need to get an apprenticeship to work with the course for more knowledge and experience. I’ve tried a lot of places and nobody is interested really.. I don’t know where to go from here because I do need a job as me and my other half are trying for our first baby (we’re both 18) he works Monday to Saturday, and we live together. I don’t want to get just any job because I really want it to include my Hairdressing course as I want to do my level 2 & 3 at the academy too. I don’t know what to do, no hair salons are getting back in contact and it’s frustrating me.

Me and my other half want to start saving some money for when we do fall pregnant so we’re prepared for when the baby comes, because I’m not on contraception and we don’t use condoms so I could fall pregnant at any time.

I don’t want anyone to judge us, I know we are young but we have discussed this together and we have discussed it with our parents and we’re dedicated to the decision. Any help or advice would be much appreciated, I’m really frustrated because I just want to make something of my life and at the minute I think my family think of me as just a “dosser” because my heart is set on having an apprenticeship to go along with my course instead of an actual job. If I wasn’t at the hair academy I would be happy doing any job, but I just feel like 2 different jobs would kind of confuse me and be hard work. If you know what I mean? Anyway any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance x
