Blanket in crib...?

Question

How old were your babies when you first felt comfortable giving a baby blanket to your baby in the crib overnight with them? Every baby is also different depending on age/abilities so I know it varies.. but how did some of you mamas ever get okay with it and not stay in panic mode every hour at night?

They usually can move a blanket from their face at a young age...that part never worried me. The risk for them moving and getting tangled and suffocating like that is actually more scary to me. My daughter is 15 months and has been walking since 11 months so she moves well but i still don’t feel comfortable leaving her with a blanket unsupervised. 
Use a wearable blanket/sleep sack. It’s honestly not worth the risk.

My baby is going to be a year in a couple weeks. I’m nowhere near comfortable giving her a blanket. She moves and rolls and would just get tangled up in it.

I didn’t know this was a thing😬 my daughter is 3 weeks old tomorrow and she uses a blanket every night and even when she naps.

8 months. But it's a thin blanket that is totally breathable. I pulled it tight and looser across my face to make sure breathing would still be possible if she got tangled up.

I started giving my son a blanket at 15 months because it was winter and his room is drafty. He’s 19 months now and still doesn’t care for it, he shoves it in the corner of his crib opposite of where he sleeps.

My daughter loved her blanket. It's a blanket just like the kne I always use to snuggle her in, but smaller. Shes been sleeping with it since birth tbh. Shes always slept in her own bed pressed against mine. Shes always slept in her sleep sack, but has always had her blanket in reach

My LO sleeps with a blanket at naptime when I'm around often to check on her but not at night. She's 5.5 months.

I always let my son nap with a blanket. Granted I am always around during his naps but he’s never covered his face with it. I’m too nervous to let him have it all night though I think he’ll be fine. I’m going to take it slow. My son just turned 11 months old and for the last month I have been letting him sleep with one of those little security blankets. He’s been doing fine with it. I think he’d be fine with a blanket but I’m just going to let him go another month. And maybe around his 1st birthday I’ll give him one to sleep with.

My daughter had been sleeping like this since she was born. Obviously without the giraffe. She cuddles with it until she falls asleep then I take it away.
