Endometriosis

Alex
Has anyone had a successful pregnancy with endometriosis? I want to be a mommy and I'm starting to doubt if I'll ever be able to conceive😩

I have had endometriosis since 15 years old, I didn't think I could get pregnant either or that it would be hard to get pregnant, but we got pregnant on the first try with our first!! We have an amazing 2.5 year old daughter and on month 2 of ttc. My dr said that getting pregnant actually can help endo, it helped mine for a while :) good luck!

Right, I have done extensive research over the last 17 years... I kept if basic here. But also, it stretches the scarring and can correct the problem often. It will obviously lessen the build up the less you shed the lining (periods). But it's not only the inactive endo that is a help.

It helps because you're not having period so endo isn't "active"

My mom had endometriosis and was able to have three kids, but after a surgery to remove endometrial tissue she wasn't able to have any more. She is happy though and says that three kids was perfect for her. Both my older sister and I have endometriosis as well (I only have a light case). She got pregnant within 3 months of trying and successfully delivered a baby boy. She is trying again but I don't believe she has gotten pregnant yet. This is my second month TTC, so hopefully this will be it! Long story short I believe as long as you are ovulating, endometriosis has more to do with the pain you will feel.

Just after I posted that my sister let us know she is preggo again! I guess she beat me to it... But it proves it's possible!!!

Right, but as long as you ARE ovulating and the egg is getting to where it needs to go, it shouldn't impact conception. A OBGYN can tell you whether it will significantly hinder your chances. Usually young people don't have it too bad.

Endo grows like scar tissue & can block tubes/uterus

I have it,, I also have two healthy children Almost 6 years apart... Ttc third. Not easy to get Preggo but not impossible. It depends on how bad you have it

I have had endometriosis for over 10 years and am currently pregnant with baby #2. The first time, it took us 10 months to get pregnant and this time it only took us 4 months to get pregnant.
