I’m in college. Almost done with my first year. My parents were always strict, very protective since I am a girl, so I understand that it is hard for them to stop being strict even though I’m in college. I attend college in a different city. My father wants me home before it gets dark, and my mother thinks it’s unusual to be at the library late at night studying for exams. I’ve tried to explain it to her but she doesn’t understand. I have had to be at the library at times of 12 or 1 AM. I don’t see this as an issue since I’m not partying or anything, but my mom makes it seem like I am. My father has gone as far as saying he’s going to make me come back. I think they are blowing it out of proportion. They can’t seem let me make decisions as a young adult.

What are your opinions/suggestions?
