Wedding poll

When you were planning your wedding did your family help pay for the wedding or did you pay for it all yourself?

As I’m newly engaged me and my SO are busy planning our wedding. The soon to be in laws have agreed to pay for caterers. As for my side of the family we’re not wealthy by any means so I know I possibly won’t have any help from them. I should also mention IM NOT LOOKING FOR HELP. Just super curious on how everyone else did it. Did you ask family? Did some just volunteer? Or did they automatically say they were pitching in?
