2 year old blood counts

My daughter just had her two year check up with her pediatrician. She informed me that at two they do a blood test to check her blood counts. So I scheduled her appointment at LabCorp. My only question is how much blood to they draw, my little girl hates needles and won’t sit well for it. Is it a finger prick blood test like when she was a baby or do they insert a needle in her arm?
