Would you have a baby shower?

Just as a conversation piece, I asked my fiancé if he wanted a baby shower. He said “who would we invite” and there in lies the rub.

Even though I have friends and family, I doubt anyone would attend, and if they did, like my first baby shower, bring things I don’t want nor need, leaving me to buy everything still on my own

(Example, I got 4 porcelain piggy banks and no diapers, no essentials, I got a lot of random items that I ended up donating because they had no use)

I didn’t want that to happen again. We were pretty much in agreement, but I want to know what you ladies would do?
