Reflux?

Alicia

I had my daughter at 36 weeks and we have been home together for a week and a half after a nicu stay. This whole time she has had pretty stable eating habits, she was breast milk but through a bottle as I couldn’t be in the nicu full round and they were so strict on the 30 minute feeding window. Since being home we have switched solely to breast feeding and I’ve noticed she has been so gassy to the point of discomfort. Like she grunts and cries after every meal. It will wake her up screaming. I can literally hear her stomach making the ‘bubble guts’ noises and now she has begun spitting up hours later and making weird sour faces randomly where she chews and fusses for like 5-10 minutes.

I talked to one pediatrician in my daughters practice and they said gripe water was fine to try. I then went into the office for a weight check and saw another doctor there and he said he didn’t like gripe water and told me to get mylicon.

My daughters weight is fine. She was born at 7.4 and 3 weeks after birth she is 7 13.5.

I just HATE seeing her in pain. Anyone have an similar things going on? Suggestions?
