Ovulation kits vs strips

Ok ladies, a week ago I finished my 10 days of Provera and started my period 2 days ago.  My doctor prescribed me clomid to take days 5-9 which will be Saturday and then I have to do ovulation tests. I've always just bought mine at Walmart and they're pretty expensive, so I'm just wondering if people prefer the strips to the stick? Or if you could give me the best brand that's easiest to read that would be great!
