He sounds lazy. Why doesn’t he want to spend quality time with his child? He’s a dad. Also, he isn’t exempt from housework simply because he gets a paycheck.

I’m a SAHM myself and my husband works at least 10 hours a day. He gets home around 6 but manages to spend time with our boys until at least 8 when their bedtime comes around.

The fact that he doesn’t want to spend time with his own daughter would hurt me so much and would make me wonder the type of man I  chose to form a family with and if this is his “idea” of a family then I’d give him two options : either we go to counseling or I leave. Just that fact makes him seem like a super shitty dad already and she’s not even a year old. She’s a brand new baby.

I wouldn't necessarily leave my husband for it. But it's definitely be something serious to talk about, and consider leaving if he still chooses not to change. My husband works full time, comes home and does his chores (on top of mine if I'm not feeling well because I have a condition) and entertains our daughter on top of it. A marriage is a sacrifice, and doing our partner's things, when they can't. Not some specific job of the sexes.

If you aren’t working then there’s no reason why you can’t take care of most or all of the household chores, but working doesn’t mean you can neglect your children.

I wouldn't necessarily leave him, I'd tell him that he needs to get his shit together because we have a baby, and I'm not about to be raising her like I'm a single parent. if that doesn't work, then leave him... maybe that'll wake his ass up.
