Yep, I got the Mirena about a year and a half ago, since then I only have cramps when I’m on my period (first and second day) and never nearly as bad as it were before.

At first it was kind of hard because the hormones haven’t kicked in yet, and the IUD is an strange object in your uterus so you get really bad cramps like stabs. But for me that only lasted like 2 - 3 weeks. 
In comparison to how I used to be, it’s an amazing tool for me. Less blood, less pain, and super safe contraceptive method.
