Vaccination for herpes??

Question

Hey everyone, we had a talk with my mom this morning, she said that there is a vaccination for herpes, it's supposed to protect you from all the diseases down there. I'm not sexually active and she knows that. I'm 16... Should I really get it? It is a 3 part shot, you get it for 3 months. Did any of you had it?

Its not herpes, its hpv and it does not protect against everything. 
I got it, and I’d want my children to get it.

I will always advocate for vaccination. Yes for vaccines. The vaccine is meant to protect you against the strains of HPV that lead to cervical cancer. Yes, you may very well get HPV at some point in your life- it’s just that common and people don’t protect themselves when having sex so they spread it. 
I’m vaccinating my kids. Why? Because as a woman and as a parent if there’s even a slight chance that they could be spared from disease- I’m gonna take that chance. I will do whatever it takes to protect them. 
There are more risks involved when refusing vaccines than there are when getting vaccines.

Get it. I didn't and haven't yet because I'm TTC. But my obgyn recommended it. It lowers your chances of cervical cancer I believe she said.
