Sprained or broken toe?
At dance tonight we were doing stuff across the floor and I took a step coming down from forced arch to demi-pointe and when doing it I jammed my toe into the floor pretty hard. I did something similar at the beginning of the year landing from a jump and my foot was still partially pointed and it jammed into the floor. (Apparently this toe doesn’t like jazz class) it is on my left foot the toe next to my big toe. It is slightly swollen and it might be a little bruised but I can’t exactly tell. It hurts almost at where your toe connects to your foot just regularly when I’m not putting weight on it but I can’t really roll through my foot when I walk without a lot of pain and it also sorta feels like there’s a ‘ball’ under my toe when I walk, again where my toe and foot connect. Could it be broken? When I did almost the same thing in August it wasn’t broken but since it was injured almost the same way on the same toe I’m worried it could be worse this time, and I have Ballet and Pointe on Tuesday I just don’t want to further injure it. I’m going to go try to make a doctors appointment if it still hurts in the next couple days.
