Pregnant & jobless?

Question

Anyone pregnant & not have a job? I'm thinking of applying for jobs but I'm not sure how I feel about going back to work after baby. Need advice

I'm working full time now it's ok. It gives me something to do to stay busy. So I enjoy it. I plan on working until I can't work any longer. After the baby I thought 6 weeks would be enough but then I thought why not take 10 to 12 to really bond with baby and adjust to this new life in addition prepare myself back for work. If income isn't an issue for u stay at home or if u want to contribute work a few hours a week. My mom stayed at home until my bro sis and i were n school then she worked at our school. ...it kept her involved and busy. Any money she made there went towards us and herself. My dad paid all the bills. Do what's best for u and your family.

I was working full time when I got pregnant with my son.. I worked 6-7 days a week 8-12 hours a day until the day he was born. After he was born we struggled financially due to my husband losing his job, so I went back to work when my son was only 3 weeks old. I was miserable and my postpartum depression got so bad that I couldn't go to work and when I did I would just cry and leave to go home to my baby. Then he got RSV and had to go to the hospital and multiple doctors appointments and I myself was going to my doctor for my postpartum depression. I eventually lost my job. However, I was able to get unemployment until my husband found a great job and now I'm a stay at home mom. Working is great if you can do it, but it is hard after the baby comes.

Unless your SO is supposed to support you and the baby then yes you need a job.

Do what you feel is right.  You don't want to regret your decision later on and there's always help you can get for whatever decisions you make.

I feel the same way. I want a job but i dont want it to take from me bonding with baby. Income isn't really a problem for me tho so it's not really a big deal
