So my General manager just hired a new store manager and I cannot stand her..

I obviously work in retail and I’ve been at this store for half a year so I understand how the store goes...

Anyways since she has had control she never gives me breaks when I work 6hrs

(We are suppose to have atleast a 30min off the clock)

Makes me sit in the back. Pretty much doing nothing.. I am not allowed to pass her “imaginary line” in the morning when no one shows up and she stands in the front

She thinks that because she is a manager she can do things against policy and it annoys me...

THEN THIS GIRL...

She was suppose to close the store with me and when I got there she ran out the store. Another manager told me that apparently her father in law took someone hostage at her house and went on her break early.. well we all kept a eye out on the news and the man ended up burning the house on fire when the hostage ran out and he was stuck inside...

At first I thought it was a lie then I started to feel guilty for thinking that..

she never came back after her lunch and Never got ahold of the store the rest of the night....

I then became worried because her family comes in the store at closing time to keep her company while we clean (ya I know she isn’t suppose to do that) but I got to know them a little (the father in law, husband and the two kids) anyways later tonight I’ve been keeping an eye out on the news and THAT WAS NOT THE FATHER INLAW THAT I MET...

they posted a mugshot of the guy and it looked no where close to the father inlaw I met...

So either that girl was lying. Or meant to say someone else... and she isn’t from here. Her husbands family is from here and that’s all so it couldn’t have been her family...
