It is very rare but some woman continue to ovulate once pregnant. This happened to my grandma, and she was pregnant with “twins” at two different gestational ages. When she gave birth only one survived because the other was too young. My grandma said the room was full of doctors and students observing, this was back in 1959. The surviving twin is my mom.
