Spotting! Dark brown, why??!!

Question

Why am i getting dark brown spotting in my underwear occasionally with dark brown sticky mucus and when i use tissue it stains it brown. Have been getting this since 2.5 days and period due in 5-6 days, does anyone experience this? No im not hinting for a possible pregnancy or implantation im justtt soo confused atm. As much as i would like it to be one, im just not confident anymore, plz help

if you don't want to assume its possible implantation bleeding which occurs between 6 and 12days past ovulation then maybe its super late ovulation which can cause bleeding as well but honestly its most likely implantation bleeding if ovulation already happened and periods due within a weeks time frame.
