Is COQ10 safe to take?

I’m trying to conceive with my husband. But we have been having trouble. My insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatments. I’ve been reading a lot about coq10. But have noticed it’s been a lot of older women taking it. I’m 25. Just wondering if anyone my age or around my age has taken this and had success.

It’s safe. The reason you see a lot of elderly women taking it is because it also really helps with joint issues.

It’s great to take if you have any inflammatory issues. I took it because I have endometriosis. Also, birth control depletes the body of it, as well as magnesium, calcium, and zinc, so if you’ve been on that in the past I would think it would be good for you to take.

When we were doing IVF they had me take it up until egg retrieval. It supposedly improves egg quality, but you have to stop after ovulation they told me. My husband was also on it to improve sperm quality.

How long have you been trying? It can take a healthy young couple up to a year to get pregnant.
