Potty training my toddler

Hi ladies so hubby and I are potty training our toddler ( all while getting used to having a newborn baby might I add ), we’ve been having her use undies at home and she’s had a few accidents here and there but if we tell her to use the potty she goes sometimes and then other times she can be stubborn and she fights us a bit. Anyway I’m just wondering if we should wait till she goes with without accidents at home before we try going out with her in underwear? Or does it not matter since she’ll probably have accidents anyway ?
