Tips on baby sleeping in crib?

He hates it. He’s still small enough to fit in the bassinet but he won’t be soon. He can be dead tired and as soon as I put him in his crib he screams and cries. Then eventually he falls asleep for like 20 or 30 minutes and he is back to crying. Halp

We put our daughters Moses basket inside the crib for about a week so she could get used to being in her own space. After that, we rolled up a towel and put it underneath the crib sheet to create a nest type space. So far it’s worked and we haven’t removed it yet because she ends up rolling all over the crib without it 😂

Just keep doing at it with the same routine every night. My son did the same thing for about  a week (it was a rough week for everyone), but now he loves his crib and is sleeping 9-10 hours straight!

We also used the towel under the sheet as a nest. We had it in a u shape and would put his butt at the bottom of the U so it lifted his legs a little as we were transitioning from the rock and play. We also used a wedge under the mattress because that was similar to the rock and play and it really helped with the transition! Now he doesn’t have the towel nest or the wedge!

Do you have a white noise machine? That helped a lot when we transitioned our son to his crib. I also had him take at least one nap a day in there so he slowly got used to it before we put him in there at night.

I put a blanket down in my sons crib the one he used when he slept in bed with me and I tuck it in the sides of the crib and he just sleeps on it. I noticed the crib sheet feels really cold so I’ve tried that out to help him, which has been working for just over a month now. I also lay him on his stomach since that helps him sleep better too
