Had a big scare this week.
Went to the doctor for my first visit last Thursday. Mentioned some light spotting a few days beforehand, but doctor didn't seem worried. Light spotting came back Saturday and Monday. On Tuesday my sister, who is a pediatrics nurse, told me I should just call the doctor again to check on everything. She was so great, had me come right in. Saw baby again, and the heartbeat, all good. She told me maybe I should take it a little easier for a few weeks, but otherwise that was it. I decided to take a sick day on Wednesday and stayed home to rest (I had worked all weekend on a very overtime intensive project and needed the day off). Thursday I come back to work and I'm feeling great. Then around mid-afternoon one of the scariest things I've ever experienced happened. It's super tmi, but I just started bleeding. There were a couple of clots involved as well. It only lasted a few moments but when I got into the bathroom I was absolutely flattened, I thought that was it for sure. But I wasn't cramping at all, so I just prayed about it, called the doctor, she had me come right back in and did another ultrasound. She didn't even have to do it transvaginally this time, because baby is still progressing just fine. No idea what caused it, but I'm guessing there was bleeding forming behind the clots and that's what caused the light spotting before everything just kind of gave way. Anyways I am trying to be calm about it all, but it's so frustrating that there's really nothing I can do but wait and see, and try to take it as easy as I can. Thank you all for being around to talk about this stuff with.
