I was homeschooled from 8th until 12th. I loved it! If I have kids they will probably be homeschooled also!🤷🏻‍♀️ you can still get the social interaction you should have in public schools.

Yes, I was home schooled my last 3 years of high school and loved having the ability to adjust my curriculum and schedule to something that fit well for me. We plan to do co-ops a couple days a week with other home school families in our community when our son starts school. Education is different for everyone and we can't wait to figure out what works for us.

I actually graduated with my bachelors in education so I would have no problem teaching up until third grade. However, I would like my child to experience the school atmosphere. When I was teaching kindergarten one of my student's parents did something I thought was a good idea. She was in my kindergarten class part time, and graduated kindergarten just the same. The following year her mom started homeschooling. She got the idea of what school is, socialized and became comfortable with her peers. Her mom felt comfortable doing home school after. I have seen the complete opposite of that whereas my SIL(10) has never been in a school atmosphere, let alone anything but ballet for 3 years. She cannot function outside of home without my MIL and for the longest time my MIL was doing her work for her. My husband was also homeschooled for a couple of years and you can see where his "teacher" (mother) failed him as a student.

If my only options were Catholic school and home schooling- I’d choose home schooling.

Nope, I think it’s important for children to learn what the real world is like, how to learn in different environments, deal with different kinds of people and situations

Idk I personally find the secondary kind of socialisation important. Not that homeschool kids don't get it, I just feel as though it's more prevalent at school
