Ladies who have had a c section- question 12 days pp

Hey! I had a scheduled c section on 4/16. This was my first as I had a complicated vaginal delivery with my first child. Everything was normal and fine with the c section. I had fairly minimal pain following surgery. Honestly I took pain pills more often for engorgement and cracked nipples more than incision pain. Like the third day after I came home, I did too much so I was sore but I learned my lesson and have been less active I think. Anyway, I am now 12 days pp and suddenly super sore. Like there wasn’t a moment when I strained and felt a sharp pain or anything to be worried I did something to open it up, but started yesterday I am suddenly very achey and sore about 2-3 inches above my incision.

Has anyone else experienced this to know if it’s normal or not? I read another board that someone said their dr said the internal incision is actually higher up than the skin one for aesthetics so that could explain the pain higher up and it was/is also pretty numb in some areas so the sudden pain could maybe be due to getting some of the feeling back. I don’t know, just wondering your thoughts. I had a dr apt 1 week pp and everything felt fine. He took my skin sutures out and I was a little sore after that and then really sore the next few days.
