Is anyone else Anti Birth Control?

I've been on 5 different types of BC since 2012 (5 years) and stopped Dec. 2017 and they have all been causing issues for me personally which causes me to just say forget it. I'm fed up! Reading about having trouble getting pregnant after being on it for so long and seeing tragic stories about other women on BC that didn't work out too well made me push away even further. Plus just the thought of putting something in your body altering the way it should naturally work. I know everybody is different I'm just curious does anyone feel the same way?

I love being on the pill--what works for some women doesn't work for others! And women can have trouble getting pregnant without ever having been on BC unfortunately

I do. I just stick to condoms. They’re over 99% effective as long as they’re not from the 90s and it doesn’t mess with my crazy hormones.

I feel the same way. I was on birth control for 6 months. It was awful. It took 9 months to get pregnant, which isn’t that long but after having my son my doctor asked if I wanted birth control I said no. It scares me to think that I possibly wouldn’t be able to have more kids. I want another one so my son can have a sibling close in age.

I have always had issues when I decided to use birth control be it; constant spotting, blood clots or pregnancy. Tho I thank the high heavens every day for my kid. I don’t use condoms, I wouldn’t say I’m allergic but they definitely make my lady bits tingle. Plus a good ol’ fashioned creampie is hard to pass up.

I'm a high risk- massive migraines, wild hormones, and smoker nearing 30. We stick to condoms.

I'm anti birth control. I don't like the way it messes with my hormones. Plus, I'm stable with one partner so I don't fear pregnancy or any sti's.. Only stating that because otherwise I would consider it

I hate hormonal BC but love my copper IUD. It causes some heavier periods but its nothing I can’t deal with. Better than pumping my body full of hormones at least.

I hate birth control I used condoms with my oldest still got her was on birth control with second still got her now excepting my fifth and I just figured if it’s Ment to be it will happen.

I don’t like hormonal birth control either. Have tried lots of different types and every single one made me depressed (it took me a long time to figure out it was because of the hbc). Since a little more than 1,5 years I’ve used Natural Cycles instead and I’ve been feeling so good, more in tune with my body.

I have been having sex since I was 15, and I didn’t get on birth control until I was 22 ish. I used condoms. When I did finally get on BC, I chose the depo, cause I knew I’d forget the pill and the insert things honestly terrify me, too many horror stories. The depo was awful from the get go. I gained a ton of weight, I’d NEVER had acne and depo made it terrible. You get the depo shot ever 3 Months and I would literally bleed the whole time in between shots except for a month. The hormones made me feel totally not like myself and I would tell all this to the gyno giving me my shot every 3 months and every time she would say “after this shot, you should go back to normal, it just takes some time to adjust”. So after a year and a half of taking it, I stopped.  I also grew some balls and broke up with my emotionally abusive bf who is been dating for 3 ish years. And now I just track and my current bf and I use condoms most of the time, unless I know for sure I’m not ovulating. So yes girl, I’m soooo anti birth control! Everyone thinks I’m nuts haha
