3 day old, struggling with breast feeding

Jennifer

So we came home today. At the hospital I was getting about 5 ML pumped from each boob and my daughter would latch with a nipple shield and eat for about ten minutes by today. However, we were feeding her what I’d pump by the finger method with a syringe so it’d get in her.

I’m not sure if that messed everything up, but now she won’t latch with a nipple shield, still not matching on my nipple, it’s big but won’t stay sticking out without a nipple shield.

Anyways, I’m needing some encouragement or advice bad. Stressing out so much. Now I’m scared my milks not going to come in. I wouldn’t care to pump and bottle feed (it’s what I resorted to tonight but I’m not getting anywhere near what it says an 8 pound baby should be eating... 20 ounces. I’m not even getting half of that in her :/) stressed. Any advice would be much appreciated.
