35 weeks, Can you relate?

Today I am 35 weeks just went in to the doctors on Thursday and just had a regular less than 10 minutes check up. He let me hear the  heartbeat and measured my stomach and and said okay you are good and leaves. It's been like that for the most part, last time I had ultrasound was back in January, and it sucks!! 
Anybody else having the same thing with the doctor. I mean he is kinda killing the mood about the pregnancy. Or am I having way too much expectation, this is my Second pregnancy after 4 years when I had my first. I had way more ultrasound and more blood work to check If baby is good.

That sounds all pretty standard. They do the other stuff if there's things they're looking for or worried about. Most pregnancies you only get 2 or 3 ultrasounds. Sorry hun.

trust me the multiple ultrasounds, constant issues isnt fun. i miss the 10 mins appts. Oliver has renal dilation so we go to ultrasounds every 3weeks and im in constant pain, random contractions since 28 weeks.

Sounds pretty normal to me. I’ve had 4 ultrasounds but I paid for 1 of them. They always do the dating ultrasound, the 12 week Down syndrome ultrasound I paid for my gender ultrasound and then they do the 20 week ultrasound to check everything. But other then that I go in the check in heartbeat ask me how things are going and send me on my way.

standard. typically you have a confirmation US to confirm your due date. them one at 20 weeks for all the measurements. as you get closer, they will start doing cervix checks and may see if the head is down

I’ll be 35 weeks on Tuesday and so far this time (second pregnancy) I’ve only had one ultrasound and won’t be getting another unless it’s “medically necessary.” Baby is already head down and has been since she first checked at 32 weeks. Heartbeat has been good, I’m measuring right where I should be, no GD, not a ton of swelling. With nothing to worry about the majority of my appointments are spent waiting for the doctor to actually get to me.

I can relate! I just consider it a good thing.  Since everything is going well, there’s no need for lengthy appointments. Taking a young sample, BP, weight, listening to the doppler, and measuring fundal might seem small and routine, but they show lots of indications of complication. If those things are good, they won’t do any further testing because there aren’t any signs of problems. If at any time you feel like there might be something up due to decreased movement, possible contractions, sudden swelling, just voice it to your doctor, and they’ll do more extensive testing. I’ve had an uneventful pregnancy, so I haven’t gotten any extra ultrasounds. It does kinda stink, but try to look on the bright side!

If you are not having any concerns or your doctor that’s just how they go. Don’t let it get to you love. Ultrasounds aren’t performed regularly unless your high risk.

That sounds exactly like me! I'm 35 weeks today, and my appointments have been like 15 minutes max since after my only ultrasound in January. I feel like they should be doing more, like blood tests and doing an actual ultrasound, but since I've had a "very textbook pregnancy" (says my doctor), I guess there hasn't been a need for more than what they've been doing.

We’ve had 2 US - dating and anatomy. We’re having a portable one at our next appt to check position because our midwife wasn’t positive at our last appt from just feeling my abdomen. Our midwife appts are relatively short (15-20 min), but I’m high risk (my health not the baby’s), so I have many other weekly appts. I miss the days of not having a slew of doctor appts. Last week, I worked 2 full days and 3 half days due to appts. Although the short ones may not seem like much fun, enjoy them. They’re better than the alternative.

same with me he just measures my stomach and baby's heartbeat and he also reminds me to go to the hospital if water breaks I'd  say less than 10 min... i only had blood work done at the beginning of pregnancy and the 2 glucose tolerance test ultrasounds 3 the last one at 31 weeks and i only had that one done because at 20 weeks my placenta was laying low ... let's be glad the appointments are this quick because we are healthy and babies as well
