Low progesterone

Chelsae • Wife 💍 Micro Preemie Mom 👶🏼

I’m 20 years old and I have kidney disease. I found out I was pregnant on April 15th and I was 4 weeks and 4 days. I miss carried April 24th at almost 6 weeks. My OB knew I was high risk due to the kidney disease but they assured me multiple times I was safe to wait until I was 9 weeks along before they seen me. This was my first pregnancy so I knew nothing. When I started bleeding on the 24th I went to the ER and my hcg was 756. On the 26th it was down to 147. While checking my levels the second time they also checked my progesterone, and it was 4.26. The nurse told me this was why I misscarried. They said my progesterone had to be at 10 or higher to be able to carry a baby, and they said this was probably a result of my Kidney disease. I know there are shots or creams you can use to boost your progesterone, and I’m just aggravated that they didn’t do anything until it was too late. My baby didn’t have a chance from the beginning. It took us 10 months to conceive a baby that had no chance of life. I go to the doctor in 3 weeks for a checkup and I’m going to insist they start giving me the shots or something to help boost my progesterone so me and my boyfriend can start trying again.

Has anyone else went through this?
