Can you really tell if it’s implantation by looking?

Just wondering because I see so many posts asking if spotting or period blood is implantation. I’m just curious if there’s something that others know that I don’t or if there is something I should be looking for.

implantation bleeding is not that common as people think.  it happens 6-12 days after fertilization.   I did not have any implantation bleeding.   most women post pictures of blood on toilet paper around the time their period is due and ask if its AF or implantation, well thats to late for implantation.

I couldn't tell when it happened the first time (my periods are usually light and short anyway) but I knew when I got the positive test that it was. this time I knew it could be and hoped it was but wasnt sure so I waited 48 and took a test (it takes 48 hours to get a detectable amount of hcg after implantation) and got a positive. I had got a negative the day of implantation (before the bleeding)

No. Spotting is just spotting. You can't tell what caused it just by looking at it. Implantation bleeding isn't as common as apps like this make it seem.

Not everyone gets it or notices  it, 4th pregnancy and never noticed with any 🤷‍♀️

There's ways to tell. You should pay attention to the color, flow and duration. Sometimes other symptoms go along with it too.
