Is rice cereal bad for baby??

So, I was doing research on feeding my baby, and I've noticed some articles stating that rice cereal and grains in general are bad for babies. Apparently they don't have the right enzymes to digest it. However, doctors still recommend it. I mean I know it's best to listen to doctors, but it's even better to listen to parents. So, is rice cereal good or bad for baby. By the way this is TOTALLY controversial..

I won't be using it, it has no nutritional value. I'd rather feed my son things that provide nutrition, like avocado, sweet potato, bananas, etc..

I never gave it to my kids. I liked the oat cereal mixed with booby milk

I didn't do rice cereal. We talked to my doc about an article we read that processed grains are inferior to mashed veggies and fruits. So, we started with mashed peas at about 5 months.

However, there are plenty of healthy and happy children who started with grain-based cereals. My daughter would have likely been fine with this option, as well.

Btw, there's a "parenting and family" group on here. It's not as active, but there are helpful women on there.

I skipped the rice and went with the oatmeal cereal. I also waited til around 7 months or so, after he had gotten acclimated to a few solids. Then I would mix the oat cereal with his baby foods.

My sister in law did it with her three kids at night Two of her three were bigger babies so they needed something that would "stick to their tummies".

My kids really didn't care for it, they ate the oatmeal, barley, they ate the rice when I mixed it with fruit, but it's not bad or anything
