success story
sharing to encourage others. After miscarrying a month before my 39th birthday what would have been our first child we tried again for several months then turned to Fertility doctors. Everything tested out fine and they suspected it was just an egg quality issue. They told me I was low on vitamin D though so I added a supplement in addition to a prenatal vitamin. They also told me to do 600mg of co q-10. Independently I also discovered I had a fructose intolerance so I cut out most sugar from my diet. I did 1 round of Clomid and was unsuccessful. We then did 3 rounds of IVF retrieval in Spain (our insurance does not cover IVF in the US and the cost of it in Europe is fractional, 3 rounds in Europe with flights and hotels was cheaper than 1 round in NYC where we live). Each progressive round had better results. First round we got none that tested healthy, 2nd round 1 did, 3rd round 3 did. I firmly believe that the q10, vitD and cutting sugar from my diet made a huge difference! Our center encourages you to wait 2 cycles before doing a transfer back. I got a surprise 2 weeks before my 40th birthday that I have gotten pregnant naturally. We have 4 frozen healthy embryos waiting for us in Spain as well. I am 11 weeks pregnant now so not out of the clear but hopeful. I just want to encourage everyone to keep persisting and look into supplements and diet changes. I think it all helps!
