When is the right time to take a test?

Hi,

I’m 17 dpo and glow says I’m 3 days late on my period. Glow is usually right on or I get it the day before or the day after. I have an extremely regular cycle and have never been this late so far.

I usually get cramps a couple of days before my period and have sort of pink cm/spotting before it starts. This time around for about 4 days I’ve been having those cramps but nothing is happening and have regular white creamy cm.

I was thinking of testing with FMU tomorrow morning but was just told by a good friend that I should wait another week after being late to test.

Is that really the case?
