Male or female ? Why did you pick this type of care ?

Here in the U.K your midwife is always your primary. Sure, if you have a complex pregnancy (issues with pregnancy, or multiples) then you may see your consultant more often than if everything is plain sailing.
My last pregnancy (twins) I saw my consultant twice throughout my pregnancy, and the midwife was still my primary.
I actually like the set up.

a doctor. she is definitely more qualified than a nurse practitioner and a midwife. sooo many things can happen in pregnancy and delivery. i want someone who knows it all and can do it all in any situation.

My primary care is a nurse practitioner. Female. 
I chose her because I know her on a somewhat personal level. 
My OB-GYN that is taking care of me during this pregnancy is a male. I was referred to him after a miscarriage. I like his personality and bed side manner. He’s a very intelligent dr and truly cares about his patients.

I’m in Australia and we’re going private with an obstetrician ☺️ it’s our first pregnancy so we wanted to have the best level of care and my partner is really strong in having a doctor looking after us!

my pcp is actually neither. I have a dedicated internal medicine dr and an obgyn for my paps and pregnancy.
