3 months postpartum and constipated...is this normal?!

I am a first time mom with an adorable 3 month old baby boy. I am nursing, and I have been horribly constipated. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?? It’s bad enough that I’ve had hemorrhoids since my 8th month of pregnancy (and delivery made it worse...obviously). It seems like no matter what I do - eat foods with fiber, drink a lot of water, increase activity - I’m still just as constipated as before. Should I consult with my doctor? Any home remedies that help? Anything would be helpful.
