Low HCG and ruptured cyst
Hi ladies,
I’m posting because I feel a little lost really right now.
I went to A&E; on Wednesday with severe pain on my left side. While I was there I was told I am pregnant and after 2 and a half years of infertility, this was amazing but tainted because of issues straight away.
They admitted me and told me my HCG levels were really low and that they should be 1500+ because of how far along I am. They also did a scan to reveal a mass on my left side (presumably causing the pain) and told me that I needed surgery. They said it could be ectopic because the pregnancy wasn’t in the right place but it was probably too early to identify this. I had to choose between risking my own life and my pregnancy’s so I chose to have the surgery.
They found a ruptured cyst which was causing internal bleeding so they removed this and also told me they still couldn’t find the pregnancy. My HCG levels haven’t doubled, they are still low and I am booked in for another scan in 10 days. They’ve said I’m still a high risk for ectopic (because of this and endometriosis & adenomyosis) and miscarriage. So I guess I’m just waiting.
Despite my journey, my mum still isn’t very supportive and has openly said how she thinks it will be better if this pregnancy doesn’t continue and I guess I just wondered if anyone else is in the same boat xx thanks for reading xx
